Turkey Bowl 4 - Attack of the Blue

The game started simple enough.  Blue won the toss and didn't waste any time.  In 3 plays they scored on a pass to Steve. Unfortunately for Red, it didn't stop there.  Red wasn't able to get anything going, and gave the ball back to Blue on the next 2 drives and Blue made them pay by scoring each time.  Once on a 5 yard TD to Macky and then again on half back option pass to from Steve to JP for 80 yards and a 21-0 lead.

Red was finally able to score on a 20 yard pass to a rotating JP, but after the two teams traded interceptions, Blue scored again on a 5yard pass to Macky. One more score for each team before half time made the score 35 to 14.

The second half started with Red and Blue trading interceptions.  Then after Red had a nice drive that stalled deep in Blue territory, Blue struck quick with a couple of plays, then a 60 yard touchdown to Macky.

Red answered with a drive of their own and scored on a 10 yard rushign touchdown by Eric.  2 plays into Blue's next drive, Eric pulled down and interception and a couple plays later made Blue pay with a 20 yard touchdown pass to Manny, bringing Red to within 2 touchdowns. 42-28.

However, this is as close as Red would get.  Everything just seemed to fall down around them as Blue rattled off 4 straight touchdowns by JP, Macky, Earl and Rich. 

Red finally managed to score another touchdown, a 20 yard pass to Aaron.  However, that would be their final trip into the endzone as Blue took control again, scored another 4 straight touchdown.  One each by Cesar and Steve, and 2 by Koos.  Ending the game with a final score of 98-35.  One of the most lopsided games in HBL history.

Did You Notice?

Everybody who tried there hand at QB for Blue threw a Touchdown.

Everybody who tried their hand at QB for Red threw an interception (except for Ben, but he only threw the ball once)

There were 11 total interceptions. But only 5 people made all of them. 

2 people had 3 Interceptions each (Macky and Earl)

Every person on Blue scored at least 1 touchdown by either a reception or a rush.

Even with all the points scored by Blue, nobody had more than 6 catches, giving them an average of a TD every 2.5 catches.

CESAR: Even though Donnie got hurt on this play, Cesar made a great move to get out of the way of Donnie who was in hot pursuit and Jarrod who was coming straight for him, then scored on an 80 yard touchdown. - 4 Votes
