It Was Cold, Very Cold, But Perfect For Football.

I don't have exactly who was on what team, but I have guessed and it's what I am going with .  And I don't have any stats.  I have the scores and a few extra plays, but that's about it.  I'll do the best I can.

Blue started with the ball and scored right away with a pass to Macky for a 40 yard touchdown.  Red hit right back with a 50 yard touchdown to Aaron.  Macky again scored on a 10 yard pass for Blue.  Red came right back with a 20 yard pass to Steve.  On the next series for Blue, a pass to Barry was pulled down with a one handed grab by Aaron who then lateraled to Steve for a another score.  On the next series Daniel pulled won an interception for Red and Aaron Scored a couple of plays later.  Blue was unable to get the ball moving again and gave the ball back to Red.  Blue again moved right down the field and Eric ran in for a 10 yard score.  Blue was able to get the ball moving on their next series and scored on a 10 yard TD to Barry.  Red came right back and was able to put up another score, a 3 yard TD to daniel, just before half time. Red 42 - Blue 21

The second half is very fuzzy.  Red started with the ball first, however, they failed to do anything with it and their second drive.  And Blue capitalized on this by scoring after both failures to bring them to within 1 score.  Then Red got back into their groove and score twice in a row themselves to put them back up by 3 scores.  1 more score by each of the teams rounded out the game.  Some of the scores were pulled in by Earl (3 in a row), Rich, Donnie and Steve. Some interceptions were made by Cesar, Barry and Steve.  All of this help bring the score to - Red 70 - Blue 49

Red 70 - Blue 40

Aaron accidentally forgot to start the clock in the second half and we played for an hour and 10 minutes.

Did You Notice?

Recognize was all on one team for only 2nd or 3rd time in HBL history.

At least 5 different people pulled in an interception.

Quote of the Game:

Steve: (In the Kid Rock voice) "Somebody's gotta take this!" (after a first down, as he looked for someone to stretch the cone out for the first down marker)

Donnie: The Joe Gibbs laugh, randomly throughout the game

Manny: "Wouldn't it have been funny if Joe Gibbs came back looking like Ed Hochuli?"

Earl: "I can't catch $hit today!!" (after dropping a pass in the endzone, and just before running to the sideline to change from Macky's jersey to his own).

Rich: "You wanna change jerseys?" (to Macky, after dropping a pass of his own)

Edwin: “I’ve only got one more brace” after someone fell

Manny #2: “I’m going to piss Aaron off” and then went long and caught a great pass beating Aaron who was covering him.

Play of the Game:

Barry: Pulls in 1-handed catch after a long sideline pass from Cesar

Steve: Picked up a big 1st down on a typical Crazy Legs scramble.

Aaron & Steve: He pulls in a nice one handed interception and then laterals the ball to Steve who take off for the endzone.

Manny: He makes a great catch where he “dove” for the ball. (Dove is in quotes, because he confessed later that he simply tripped before the ball got there)

Last Weeks Polls:

Quote of the Week:

RIC #2: "I must've jinxed you with that MVP stuff--lemme take that back. Man, you SUCK!" (Kidding Daniel, who got burned on the very next play).

Play of the Week:

JP: A pass from Steve to Donnie is knocked down by JP in what can only be described as a blocked shot - Blue 14 - Red  7
