Scoring, Scoring and More Scoring, Can Blue Finally Pull One Out

The game was close as ever until the game hit the fourth quarter.  It started easily enough with Red winning the toss and summarily deferring the first series to Blue.  However, 2 plays into the game, Blue made them pay as Eric hit Aaron on the second play for a 65 yard touchdown.  The lead only lasted 3 plays though as Steve hit Manny for a 45 yard touchdown.  Slowing the game down a bit, Eric methodically moved Blue down the field, ending the drive with a 2 yard pitch and catch to Earl to regain the lead.  However, Red liked the speed before as Steve zigged and zagged his way on a scramble for 70 yards and a touchdown. Red 14 - Blue 14

Eric again drove Blue down the field and with a 9 yard pass to Rich for a touchdown, Blue again went up by one score.  Steve slowed his own team down a little and worked Red down the field.  And after a 20 yard pass to Manny he tied the game back up.  4 plays and out gave Red the ball back quickly and a chance to take the lead for the first time in the game.  And 3 plays later, they did with a pass from Steve to Koos.  Blue again failed to get a drive going and gave the ball back to Red at midfield after failing to convert for a first down. A coupe of plays after that Steve hit Manny for a 2 yard touchdown. Red 35 - Blue 21

Eric looked to get his team back on track.  Spreading the ball around he moved right down the field and 30 yards from the endzone, he hit Cesar on a Go pattern and he zipped right into the endzone.  Red was unable to do anything and gave the ball right back to Blue in 4 plays.  And two plays later Eric hit Cesar again, for a 10 yard touchdown.  And like that, it was tied again.  2 plays into Red's next drive, Cesar pulled down and interception and a chance for Blue to take the lead back.  However, 4 plays later, Cesar threw an errant pass on a half back option play that Steve pulled down for an interception.  And a couple of plays after that, Red went back up by 7 as Manny hit Daniel for a 30 yard touchdown. With only seconds remaining in the half, Blue was unable to mount any kind of drive to score before time expired. Red 42 - Blue 35

The beginning of the second half looked bad for Red as the first three passes fell to the ground.  However, on the fourth play, Manny hit Macky on a crossing pattern and 70 yards later, Red was up by 2 scores.  Blue came right back in 1 play as Eric hit Aaron for Blue's own 70 yard touchdown.  2 plays into Red's next drive, Blue got the ball back again as Earl made a great interception grab on the sidelines.  The only thing that saved him from scoring a touchdown was him slipping on the wet grass.  2 plays after that, Eric hit Rich for a 10 yard touchdown. and tied the game back up.  Steve took back over at QB for Red, though it didn't help as Cesar picked off a pass on their second play, and was barely stopped before going into the endzone.  But they were only delaying the inevitable as Eric hit Donnie for a 1 yard TD and the lead a single play later. Red 49 - Blue 56

Red started to move down  the field, but their drive failed just past the 40 yard line.  When it looked like Blue was going to go up by 14, Steve picked off his second interception in the endzone.  After just a few plays, Steve called a sweep right to Koos.  Who then turned on his track star speed and sprinted down the sideline for a 48 yard TD run.  The tie only lasted one play, as Eric hit Aaron as he came across the middle of the field and then sprinted down the sideline, juking Koos along the way for a 70 yard TD. Red 56 - Blue 63

In a flash, what had been a very close game up to this point turned into a route when on consecutive drives, Red was unable to get past midfield.  And Blue made them pay with a 1 yard TD to Earl and a 10 yard TD to Cesar.  Red's next drive ended in 1 play as Eric pulled down an interception.  However, Macky pulled down an interception of his own in the endzone.  Unfortunately, Red was unable to do anything with it and gave the ball back to Blue after failing to get a first down just past midfield.  Cesar took over at QB and moved Blue down the field ending the drive with a 1 yard pass to Eric just as he crossed the goal line and ran into Steve. Red 56 - Blue 84

Manny stepped back in at QB and contintued to make it a game.  And in one play he did as he hit Macky for his 3rd 70 yard touchdown of the day.  Cesar stayed in at QB and worked Blue right back down the field.  and with a 15 yard TD to Earl, put Blue back up by 28 points with just minutes to play.  Red 63 - Blue 91

Red looked to try and get the score close, but was able to get it past the 40 before giving the ball back to Red on downs.  And in just a few plays Cesar hit Earl for his 4th TD of the day.  Daniel decided to give his hand at QB for Red.  And in 4 plays, He hit Manny in stride for a 30 yard score.  And in just two plays, Daniel became a one man wrecking crew as he pulled down an interception.  Unfortunately, it was a little late as the clock ran out before Red could get off a single play.  Red 60 - Blue 98

Eric threw an impressive 11 touchdowns and didn't even play QB for the last half hour of the game.

Aaron's 9 game Interception streak came to an end.

Cesar is beginning to make his bid for MVP as he Threw for 3 Touchdowns, Caught 3 Touchdowns and pulled in 2 interceptions.
